Q . What's the idea here?

A. Right now, the only people who are able to participate in this great new world of user-generated-content are those who have the ability to shoot, edit and upload their videos. We think there is a massive amount of really talented people out there who don't necessarily have the production skills or time, but do have really funny ideas. We want to pioneer the next-generation of user-generated-content by combining professional screening, editing and production with this global talent pool.

Q . Do I win something or get paid if my script is selected?

A. See, you are funny! Good for you. No, this is not a contest. Participate only if you want your work to be considered for production by a professional cast and crew and posted on Funny or Die UK.

Q. What if I don't want anyone to touch my script?

A. In order to be considered by the head writers for production, your script MUST carry the BY-SA Creative Commons License. This does two things: It lets Funny Or Die UK produce your sketch and it allows Zhura members (and Funny or Die UK head writers) edit your script as necessary to make it better (sorry).

Q. Do I get writing credit for my sketch or edits to someone's sketch?

A. Yes! The Creative Commons license requires it. Each person who contributes to any script that is produced will receive writing credit.

Q. What if someone ruins my script with his or her stupid edits?

A. If you think someone has made changes to your script that don't reflect your vision, there are a few things that you might consider doing: First, you can use the revisions tool to "revert" back to a version that you like better. A second option would be to start another script off of the same idea. Another option would be to message the other writers and try to work it out.
