Forming a Group

Back to Help

  • Click "Create" on the toolbar to make a group. Choose to make an Open Public or Moderated Public Group. Pro members may choose to make a Private Group.
  • Send an invite to any member of Zhura you'd like on your writing team! Only other Pro users may join Private Groups.
  • Your friends join the group by confirming your invite. Other users may request to join Moderated Groups or join Open Groups at will.
  • Collaborate!

You can form a writing group on Zhura and invite other users to join. Once in the group you can share ideas, videos, participate in discussions and, of course, collaborate on scripts with other group members.

Browse public groups in the "Groups Directory" or create a new group by clicking on the "Create" link beside the "Directory". Once you are part of a group, the name of the group will appear in the header bar.

There are three different kinds of groups on Zhura: Private, Open Public and Moderated Public. Private Groups are not listed in the Public Group directory and any activity therein is not visible to anyone outside the group. The only way a user can join is if they are invited by an existing member of the group. If you are in a Private Group a "P" will appear beside the name of the group. Public Groups are listed in the directory and you may write a description and other profile information for your public group to encourage others to join. You may create either a Moderated Public Group where you choose whom may join or an Open Public Group where anyone can join. A log of all recent Public Group activity is visible to other members of Zhura outside the group. This way others can see the more active groups they might like to join.
