Script Overview

  • SCRIPT OVERVIEW
  • This is a master list of all your ACTS, SCENES, CHARACTERS and NOTES. This menu is automatically filled as you write. If you'd like more space in the editing window, you may choose to "Hide Overview" and the editor will expand.
  • SCENE RE-ORDERING
  • You can move scenes around in the Script Overview by clicking on a scene, holding and dragging it to where you'd like it moved. After you have made the change in the Overview, the scene will appear in the script in its new place.
  • DESCRIPTIONS
  • A script is only meant to hold so much detail. You may wish to enter additional information for your scenes and characters and this can be done at any time in the DESCRIPTION box. The SCENE DESCRIPTIONS can also be viewed and edited in OUTLINE MODE. See Outline Mode for more information.
  • For STAGE PLAYS, descriptions for CHARACTERS and SCENES written here will be added to the CHARACTER page and SCENE SYNOPSIS page which can be included as an option when creating a PDF.
  • You can also edit the TITLE of a scene or NAME of a character without having to change every instance of each.
