Zhura provides online an industry-strength screenwriting editor that performs all the essential features writers need. Standard tab and enter shortcuts, auto-complete and script summaries make writing fast and efficient. The Zhura editor also allows members to create scripts in the most popular formats: Stage Play, Screenplay, Sitcom, Audio Play, and Comic Book (as well as the ability to switch between them). All this is available on any computer without the need to download any software.

Zhura is home to an active global community of screenwriters. Members can meet other writers, share their scripts, ideas, videos, provide comments and feedback as well as enter into discussions on any aspect of the process. Zhura provides an opportunity for writers all over to support each other in their creative endeavors.

Zhura allows members to collaborate through the most advanced editing software available online. With a simple point-and-click, members can simultaneously edit scripts, leave notes, comments. Our "highlight authorship" and "revision history" features allows anyone with access to the script to review who wrote what and when.

Zhura members can create both open and moderated groups around any theme or area of interest. Open Groups are available for all to join, whereas Moderated Groups are joined by invite or request. Within the group, members have access to all of Zhura's community and advanced script writing software. With an area dedicated to groups, members can browse for one that meets their interest.

PRO members have the ability to create Private Groups which are not viewable by anyone other than those invited to the group. Working on a school project, or the next great American blockbuster? You can use Zhura to collaborate with your colleagues in private.

If you have a script in Rich-Text (.rtf), a document written in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx), or a screenplay in OpenOffice (.odt), as a PRO member, you can import them directly into the Zhura editor. You also have the option to export your Zhura scripts to any of these formats.

Zhura offers a full-screen editor mode to its PRO members. Now you can utilize all the real estate your browser window has to offer and simplify your script editing experience.

Zhura is the first screenwriting software in the industry to offer a completely seamless online/offline feature using Google Gears. Through advanced database management software, we are able to keep an up-to-date copy of your 30 most recently edited scripts both online and on your computer. If you don't have access to the Internet, you can open and edit your scripts as much as you like. Or if you are editing online and suddenly lose your connection, you can continue working. Whenever you reconnect to the Zhura site, your scripts will be automatically updated.

PRO members can "hide" their profile if they would like to use Zhura features anonymously. By selecting this option in your profile management page, you will not appear in any Community search results. This means that if you just want to work in your Personal Area or in a Private Group, the general Zhura membership will not see your profile. If you participate in any Public activity, like public discussions or comments, then your name will appear with your activity and other members can then click through to your profile. If you work only in private, then you cannot be found on the site.

PRO members will never see any of the banner advertisements that are displayed on the Zhura website.
